Tea Party Caucus
[TPC]Right-libertarian Republicans. Born out of Ron Paul's presidential campaign and the Tea Party uprising, the Tea Party Caucus adheres to strict constitutional originalism, individual liberty, and states' rights. Economically, they maintain an uncompromising fiscal stance against deficit spending and debt-ceiling increases, advocating drastic federal budget cuts alongside the privatization of major entitlement programs, including Social Security and Medicare. Socially, they defer most cultural matters to state sovereignty, while making a staunch exception for absolutist Second Amendment protections and favoring the deregulation of cross-border movement. In national security and foreign affairs, they embrace isolationism, favoring the withdrawal of all American forces abroad, retrenchment from foreign entanglements, the termination of foreign aid, and tariff-free trade.
